Aloha,
That time again! Well not much going on at the Fonua house except sports, school, and church!
Dean is still in the young mens and I am still the Young Women President! That keeps us busy just with our church jobs. Dean is still at the hospital, however this year has been extremly hard financially at the hospital, we are praying that he keeps his job! I will be looking for work starting next school year because I will have no children at home! WIERD!
Kiana is a Senior praise the lord! I will be doing the happy dance that day!! She will hopefully graduate on Friday June 3, 2011 at Weber State University! The girls just finished their basketball season and you probably all know that they lost in the championship! It was sad, however they had a good season there record ended up 48-1 for the past two years and 67-5 for the past three years. Pretty good! Kiana is looking at Adams State to go play ball and yes thanks to Louis she might have an opportunity to go to college and play basketball! She goes on a visit at the end of the month and we our hoping for an offer to play there! Kiana is very independant and wants to be out of the house! Personally I want her out of the house too! She thinks she is smarter than us! 'That we have no clue as parents how to raise her or treat her!!! Wow does that sound familiar????
Kavika a 9th grader and is still playing three sports! His dad wanted him to give up one, but he wanted to try all three again and see how it went! His football season was good he played up on the sophmore team and was a starter both ways until he broke his hand. Luckily he was still able to play defense. Kavika led the team in 7 interceptions, three of them he ran back for a touchdowns. He also was third in the most solo tackles on the team. The team ended up second with their only loss to Northridge which was their first game of the season. Basketball he played for the junior high and they went undefeated for the season, however during playoffs they choked in the first round and lost. A couple of games he ended up with a triple double. He had over 10 asissts, blocked shots, rebounds or steals in more then two games. Funny that did not include points cause he doesn't like to shoot the ball!! He is going to play High School Baseball for the JV team this year and if he is lucky may see some varsity time. Kavika was ordained a priest this year and it has been great to see him blessing the sacrament!
Kavehi is my little man and he is in the third grade this year! Everyone loves him, he has friends coming out of the woodwork. Kealani is always complaining, "how come I don't have that many friends?" I have to tell her well you have to be nice, and like to share, be sweet, and don't be bossy, and you can't cry to get your way! HA!! Kavehi played football, is still playing basketball, and right now we are trying to get a baseball team together. He is a happy kid and loves to go over to his best friends Collins house all the time!! His teachers, friends, and family loves him very much! He is the friendliest, kindest, sweetest, nicest, mosta loving child in our family. He teaches me everyday what Christ wants us all to strive for! To become more like him! Oh and one more thing about him, he always sings himself to sleep at night, he has done this since he has been very little 2 years old is the earliest we have caught him and we actually recorded him in South Weber when we lived there at age 4.
Kealani is still a spitfire and is in Kindergarten this year! She is tall, almost as tall as her brother! More and more people are asking if Kavehi and her twins? Kealani loves to draw and dance around the house! She still has to wake up and go to her moms exercise classes in the morning because she has afternoon Kindergarten. Kealani played tiny tots basketball for the city and she did great! She was the tallest of all the kids that played! She Scored at least one basket a game and in her last game she scored 3! They play a little different here! 5 year olds have a half hour clinic and then only play two 6 minute quarters! She loves to play with friends and her best friend is Kai! She is a chatter box! She always talking or singing to herself when she is playing. For the most part she has gotten happier in her old age but she can still be a grumpy old lady at times!
I have told Dean several times lets have Kavehi and Kealani not play any sports and instead lets go on a vacation instead!! Put that money to some better use! Well thats it for 2010! Hope all is Well, and by the way the family reunion this year is at Wolf Creek! August 12-14!! I will be sending an email to everyone with details!!! Mahalo mom and dad for all you do! Afa Atu and Aloha Stacy, Dean, Kiana, Kavika, Vehi, and Nani
Yay another News Letter! :) You need to let your little ones play sports, I think it would drive you more crazy if they didn't!!!! :) XOXOXO
