Barton 2009 continued

M A Y

Mother's Day was very nice.
"There are two lasting gifts we can give our children. One is roots. The other is wings."
Thank you for giving me both, I will love you forever mother of mine. Vicki Michelle May, 64 years old on May 4th. "Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?" The Beatles
Kuku, there is some good fishin' at Pelican Lake.
The little doggie is Gracie. She stayed with us for the summer. She was such a good little thing, may she rest in peace. If you want to get rid of a dog, send them to live with us. Animals don't last too long around here. This is dog number 6 for us. Do the 2 that we got rid of count?
Sadie has lasted 5 years, it's a record.
Memorial Day in PC. Just wait five minutes and the weather will change. After a little soak, we lit up the pit and roasted some mallows. If you want a good scare, come roast some smores & listen to scary stories. We will tell you stuff that will freak you out so bad that you either cry, wet your pants or sleep on your parents floor for three days and have to sing primary songs to go to sleep. Just ask Koa about it.

Took the boat out for a spin on Starvation Resevoir. Who is up for a Powell trip this summer?
You don't know what your missin'.
Love the ranch in the spring. The pond is full of fish, the snakes are on the move and there is always an adventure to be had.
Who is in for a week at the ranch this summer?

Celebration Time, c'mon!
Our 17th anniversary, my 38th bday, lagoon for the end of the school year.
Grandma looked great! I am so glad that we got to have some time with her last summer.

Lake Powell was the Best, as Nacho would say. We camped, we cooked like that caveman did & we conquered the cliffs. Who is coming with us this year for Memorial Weekend?

Here is the other half of the family.. The Barton's have been known to be a little cooky.
Dad was such a cute boy. I wonder what it would have been like to have known him as a boy or a young man. I have always loved his big smile. He works harder than anyone I know and is a friend to all. He taught me well in sports and he taught me better to be a decent person.
I am so glad when daddy comes home, glad as I can be.
Clap my hands and shout for joy and climb upon his knee.
Put my arms around his neck, Hug him tight like this,
Pat his cheeks, then give him what?
A great big kiss!
X love you dad

Fourth of July started with breakfast, a parade, on to volleyball with Kiana & Dani, then some baseball with Cody & Kavika and finally to the Tabiona rodeo. YEE HAW!

The Fonua's put on a luau in our backyard for erin and adam's wedding shower.
Dean is one crazy menehune.

Everybody in the family loves to ride horses, but me. Horses just don't like my scent, therefore they are always throwing me off. We are getting quite the collection of horns and thankfully there were no broken fingers this year. Summer camp at the ranch this summer. Who is in?
Zion National Park. Looking forward to June.

Carter's blessing day in Hurricane, UT.

In IF for Mikki's 20 year reunion. I am officially old. Had a nice visit with grandma. Good memories in that old house. I am still scared of the basement & even if I was starving, I don't think I would eat a bottle of those cherries.
